Fossils are amazing things to study. They saved their milk cartons from lunch and put play dough in the bottom. Then, they put a small item in the play dough. Next, they pushed hard to make an imprint of the shape! This made a mold fossil. Then, they pulled out the item and poured Plaster of Paris over the imprint. They let it set overnight, but in the morning, they pulled it out and made a beautiful fossil! The fossil they mad from the plaster of paris was a cast fossil.
